We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Carer / Senior Care Assistant to work regular agency shifts with our client in Basingstoke, Hampshire (RG21).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking for flexible agency care work in Basingstoke, with regular long day and night shifts available throughout the week.
As a Senior Carer, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence, safety and quality of life.

Your Role as a Senior Carer
As an experienced Senior Care Assistant, you will help plan and deliver high-quality care while providing guidance and support to other members of the care team.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Promoting residents’ dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing
- Supporting residents with mobility and the safe use of walking aids
- Assisting residents with meals, nutrition and hydration
- Providing compassionate support to residents receiving end-of-life care
- Communicating professionally with residents, families and colleagues
- Supporting and guiding other members of the care team
- Completing accurate care records and documentation
- Following care plans, safeguarding procedures and workplace policies
- Helping maintain a safe, supportive and respectful care environment
About You
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Carer / Senior Care Assistant who is confident working as part of a busy care team.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working as a Senior Carer, Senior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant
- NVQ, SVQ or Diploma Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or an equivalent relevant qualification
- Good care documentation and record-keeping skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management and organisational skills
- A caring, patient and respectful approach
- The confidence to support residents, relatives and other members of the care team
- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care
Above all, you should be someone who treats every resident with kindness, dignity and respect.
Shifts Available
Our client is looking for Senior Carers who can work regular shifts throughout the week in Basingstoke.
Available shifts include:
- Long day shifts
- Night shifts
- Weekday shifts
- Weekend shifts
- Full-time agency hours
- Part-time agency hours
This role may be particularly suitable for carers looking for flexible care shifts in Basingstoke while maintaining regular weekly work.
Pay & Benefits
Pay: £13.30–£14.50 per hour
