Job Description
HCC-Temps Staffing is recruiting Registered Nurses (RGN) / Staff Nurses to join our growing healthcare staffing team, providing high-quality nursing and patient care across Birmingham, Solihull and the B90 area.
We are looking for dedicated, professional and compassionate nurses who are committed to delivering excellent standards of care and supporting the health, dignity, safety and wellbeing of patients.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses, Staff Nurses and Agency Nurses looking for nursing work in Birmingham and Solihull. You will have the opportunity to use your clinical skills within professional healthcare environments while working as part of supportive multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
As a Registered Staff Nurse with HCC-Temps Staffing, your duties may include:
- Delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing care
- Assessing patients and monitoring their health and wellbeing
- Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting clinical concerns appropriately
- Administering prescribed medication safely and accurately in accordance with clinical procedures
- Supporting doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals with treatments and clinical procedures
- Maintaining accurate, confidential and up-to-date patient and nursing records
- Developing and following appropriate patient care plans
- Supporting patients with daily living activities where required
- Educating patients and their families about health conditions, medication, treatment and ongoing care
- Recognising deterioration in a patient’s condition and escalating concerns appropriately
- Responding promptly and professionally to emergencies
- Following infection prevention and control procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable care environment
- Protecting patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Following all relevant safeguarding, health and safety, clinical governance and professional standards
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this Registered Nurse / Staff Nurse position, applicants should have:
- Valid NMC registration and the legal right to practise as a nurse in the UK
- Relevant nursing qualifications
- Previous experience providing direct patient care within a hospital, clinical, community, care or other healthcare setting
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of nursing procedures
- Experience in safe medication administration
- Good understanding of medication dosages, potential side effects and clinical observations
- Strong knowledge of patient safety, safeguarding and confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical and patient records
- Ability to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in a patient’s condition
- Confidence working independently when required
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- A professional, reliable and compassionate approach to patient care
